Mercer Health’s Diabetes Support Group will meet on Monday, January 9 at 2 p.m. at Mercer County Community Hospital, 800 West Main Street, Coldwater, in the Sanderell Room.
Being sick can make your blood sugars go high. When you are sick your body is under stress making it more difficult to control your blood sugars. Dr. Alyssa Tobe, Hospitalist with Mercer Health, will be presenting how your diabetes needs may change when you become sick as well as the importance of good blood sugar control during a hospital stay.
