If you or a loved one requires medical-related care and
assistance on an hourly basis, it can be provided in the
comfort of your own home with the Private Duty division Mercer
Health Home Care.
Mercer Health Private Duty is a full service, state licensed
home care provider that has served Mercer and its surrounding
counties since 1966.
The Private Duty division of Mercer Health specializes in
a variety of services for adults and children, provided by
a staff that consists of registered nurses and home health
aides trained to provide high-quality care. These services
include:
• Managing
and coordinating all aspects of care and consulting with
the physician and family.
• Providing skilled nursing services such as
ventilator, feeding tube and tracheotomy care.
• Providing support services such as personal
care, bathing, meal preparation, medication reminder and
house keeping assistance.
Mercer Health’s Private Duty division accepts many
insurance companies and self-pay. Fee’s for services
are based on an hourly rate depending on the client’s
individual service requirements.

Eligibility and Referral Information
Private Duty hourly shift care services can also be accessed
from the same locations as stated above. The primary difference
in this type of care is the need for service is 4 – 24
hours a day. Referrals for private duty services may be made
by the patient, family member, physician or facility.
