Outcomes Based Quality Improvement

The goal of the OBQI (Outcome Based Quality Improvement) system is to use the OASIS information that is obtained on admission and at discharge to improve patient care processes and clinical outcomes. CMS (Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services) require all home health agencies to perform this process. You may experience a long list of questions during the admission process and at various time points. These questions are then tabulated to help the agency work with you to improve your health.
