“FRIENDS OF THE MED FOUNDATION”

2011 Outstanding Friend of the MED Foundation
HCF Management, Inc.

The Friends of the MED Foundation is a group of individuals who financially support the foundation as a Blue ($500), Green ($250) or White ($100) Level member.  The annual membership donations are used to support projects at Mercer Health.  The MED Foundation Board of Directors approved an annual donation to Mercer Health of $10,000 to be used to recruit needed physicians to our area.  The MED Foundation and Mercer Health management work together to attract physicians who fill a void in the health care of our residents.

Please join our organization and join your friends by supporting the MED Foundation.  

Your annual donation allows the foundation to support Mercer Health and you, as a member, receive a quarterly newsletter and you are invited to attend our Annual “Friends of the MED Foundation” dinner.  Each year we provide an interesting speaker and award our “OUTSTANDING FRIEND” award during the evening.

“MERCER HEALTH LEGACY”

The members of this organization have made legal arrangements to provide assets to the MED Foundation or Mercer Health through their Will.  The donations provided by the members of the Mercer Health Legacy organization will be used to create and grow the endowment for the MED Foundation.  The Board of Directors of the MED Foundation will provide the revenue created from the endowment for projects at Mercer Health.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM:

2011 Scholarship Recipients

The MED Foundation provides 6 or more $1,500 scholarships annually to local high school graduates who plan to further their studies in a health care field in college.  Our goal is to provide one scholarship to a graduate from each school in Mercer County.  The criteria to apply for a scholarship are provided to the Guidance Department of the school each year.

Since the beginning of this program the MED Foundation has provided 131 scholarships totaling $155,000 to students in Mercer County.

ESMONDE/ HOMAN ANNUAL GOLF OUTING:

2011 Esmonde/Homan Golf Outing

Our Annual Esmonde/Homan Memorial Golf Outing is held the 2nd Wednesday in June at the Elks Golf Course in Celina, Ohio.  The Shot-Gun start is a fun event for all levels of golfers.  We have winners of the Men’s four-man best ball, Women’s four-woman best ball and Co-Ed best ball winners.  

The proceeds of the outing are used to support the MED Foundation Scholarship Program.
