Mercer Health is a Joint Commission accredited hospital. The hosptial is surveyed at least every 3 years, and the laboratory is surveyed at least every 2 years in an unannounced fashion.
The Joint Commission accredits and certifies more than 19,000 health care organizations and programs in the United States. Joint Commission accreditation and certification is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that reflects an organizations's commitment to meeting certain performance standards. The Joint Commission's goal is to continuously improve health care for the public by evaluating health care organizations and inspiring them to excel in providing safe and effective care of the highest quality and value.
